Recently, the major project of "Semiconductor Lighting Project" in the new material field of 863 Program undertaken by Nanjing Agricultural University, "Application Research of Semiconductor Lighting Source in Plant Tissue Culture" has made progress in the development of plant-specific LED light source system, and successfully developed for the first time in China. A flexible LED light source system for plant photobiology research has been successfully applied to the experimental research of the 863 subject undertaken by the research group.
The system is mainly composed of LED, plug-in universal substrate and driving and control unit. The main feature is that LEDs of different wavelengths can be combined and arranged in any combination of plug-in universal substrates according to experimental requirements, and the light source required for experimental design is obtained.
Photobiology research, especially plant photobiology research is a hot topic. Previous studies relied mainly on fluorescent lamps and filters to obtain the desired wavelength and optical density, which could not be accurately quantified, and could not arbitrarily set quantitative parameter combinations as needed, which restricted the in-depth study of photobiology. The system developed by Nanjing Agricultural University can quantitatively regulate optical density, optical wavelength (including various wavelength combinations), duty ratio (0-100%) and frequency (100-1000HZ), which is an effective tool for photobiology research. And ideal experimental equipment. The successful development of this system has filled the gap in this field of research in China, and it will have wider application in the field of photobiology research in China.
